Introduction to Fencing

Interested in fencing? It is an Olympic sport that is fun and challenging for both mind and body. Welcome to Fencers Club’s Introduction to Fencing—en garde!

This comprehensive four-week program is perfect for beginner youth fencers, ages 6-12. Small group classes meet once per week (Thursdays, 3:45-4:45PM and Saturdays, 12:30-2:00PM) at our facility in Chelsea. As the only USOC Community Olympic Development Program for fencing in the United States, our expert class coaches will focus on the foundations of fencing with emphasis on fun and engaged learning in a safe and welcoming environment. Your child will discover fencing at its best through our Introduction to Fencing Program!

Classes are taught by our elite athlete-coaches who have extensive experience teaching and mentoring youth beginner fencers. They all have professional fencing certifications from the US Fencing Association. The 2 lessons feature personalized instruction with one of our world renowned Coaches to further hone each student’s skills. This program is not renewable but has options to continue fencing at Fencers Club.

Program Highlights:

  • One month program
  • 4 group classes and 2 individual lessons
  • Group classes: Thursdays, 3:45-4:45PM or Saturdays, 12:30-2:00PM (through June)
  • All necessary fencing gear included
  • 8-to-1 students to coach ratio in classes
  • $250 for the complete one-month program
  • End of session progress evaluation
