CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FC COMMUNITY MEMBERS
WHO QUALIFIED FOR THE 2021 OLYMPICS!
Fencers Club would like to congratulate women's foil fencer Jacqueline Dubrovich on qualifying for both individual and team events for the 2021 Olympic Games. Currently ranked 2nd in the United States and 24th in the world, we are excited to watch her compete this summer! She capped off the domestic season by winning the May NAC this weekend. Jackie is currently coached by her fiancé, Brian Kaneshige.
We would also like to congratulate Fencers Club member, Alen Hadzic, for winning the May NAC and in doing so, securing the reserve spot for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo this summer. We are proud of his grit throughout this competition. Alen also performed consistently on the world cup circuit with four top sixty-four finishes. Alexey Cheremsky coaches Alen.
Congratulations to Khalil Thompson (PWF/FC) for winning the May NAC and securing the fourth spot on the Men's Sabre team for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo! Khalil consistently made the second day at world cups over the past two seasons and has been a strong competitor on the national circuit. Khalil is coached by Akhi Spencer-El.
They join Daryl Homer (PWF/FC), Curtis McDowald (PWF/FC) and Yeisser Ramirez (PWF/FC) who have also qualified for the 2021 Olympic Games!
